4. TJ Bamba – Washington State to Villanova

2022-23 season stats: 15.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.7 apg

As a full-time starter for the first time, Bamba doubled his scoring production to lead Washington State on offense. He shot 37% from three-point range and had six games of at least 20 points on the season. Bamba had a career-high 36 points against Washington on 13/20 shooting.

The Bronx native heads back East to the Wildcats, a program looking to bounce back from a rough past season. Bamba pairs well with Justin Moore in the backcourt and gives the team another quality double-digit scorer in the Big East.

3. Walter Clayton – Iona to Florida

2022-23 season stats: 16.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.2 apg

Clayton was a breakout star as a sophomore, leading Iona in scoring this past season. The MAAC Player of the Year shot 46% from the field and 43% from three-point range while also having 11 games of at least 20 points. One of them was a 20-point, 12-rebound, and 6-assist performance against Saint Louis, along with a season-high 30 points in a road win over Niagara.

Clayton didn’t follow his head coach Rick Pitino to St. John’s but instead went back home down South to Florida to play for the Gators. He’s a combo guard that can play point but likely will be the off-guard by the time their roster is completely filled.
