NCAA Basketball: Top 10 available mid-major transfers this 2023 offseason
8. Nicolas Timberlake – Towson
Timberlake is a bonafide, knockdown shooter. He averaged 17.7 points on nearly 42% shooting from behind the arc last season, earning him All-CAA honors for the second year in a row. Over the last 10 games of the season, Timberlake put up three 30-point games and two more 25-point efforts, hitting at least six 3s in each of those outings.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard led the CAA in effective field goal (61.7%) and true shooting percentages (64.9%) in conference play. He also shot an absurd 49.6% from 3-point range on nearly seven attempts per game in league play.
Two seasons ago, Timberlake led Towson to a CAA regular-season title. While the Tigers couldn’t repeat this past season, they still earned a top-three finish. Timberlake has contributed to winning basketball, which is something that has to matter in recruiting players from the portal.
The Boston native recently took an official visit to UConn. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
