NCAA Basketball: Top 10 available mid-major transfers this 2023 offseason
3. Dalton Knecht – Northern Colorado
One word to describe Dalton Knecht? Smooth. The 6-foot-6 wing brings an understandably enticing combination of height and length paired with a soft touch and high basketball IQ.
He glides past defenders and has an excellent floater and mid-range pull-up, making him an effective scorer off the dribble. Pair that with 38% shooting from 3-point range on more than six attempts per game, and he should have no problems scoring at the high-major level.
Knecht averaged 20.2 points and 7.2 rebounds at Nothern Colorado this past season, earning All-Big Sky honors. There are some question marks defensively, but his offensive upside and length make him one of the top players in the portal.
He has taken official visits to Oregon and Tennessee, with Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, and UCLA also rumored as potential destinations, although his recruitment so far has been fairly discreet.
Knecht has one year of eligibility remaining.
