Although it wasn’t nearly as good as the year prior when they were looking to be a 1 seed, Auburn Basketball still had a solid 2022-23 campaign. They finished 21-13 (10-8 SEC) and won a game in the NCAA Tournament against Iowa. But like all teams in college basketball, roster changes were going to be made.

Three players transferred out of the program, including former top-30 prospects, Chance Westry and Yohan Traore. Backup center Babatunde Akingbola also entered the portal as well. Two others have entered the NBA Draft process in starters Wendell Green Jr. and Johni Broome. Of the two, Green is likely all but gone, while Broome is more likely to return but it’s never a guarantee.

That’s important because the Tigers will need to operate out of the transfer portal assuming both could not be back. The program has been after a number of targets and even landed one in Denver Jones in the backcourt. They’ve also had their fair share of misses in just this past week, with former targets Ben Middlebrooks (NC State) and Jalen Hill (UNLV) picking to go elsewhere.

But Auburn still has several key D-I targets in the mix and could potentially land 1-2 of them in the coming days. Here’s a look at who they have, have brought in, and could be in the mix for going forward this offseason.
