4. Kansas Jayhawks

The Jayhawks have been in the mix for a lot of power conference guards and finally landed one in Nick Timberlake, who averaged nearly 18 ppg this past season at Towson. He gives them a needed shooting boost on the perimeter and is a 6th-year transfer with plenty of experience.

Kansas is still working on wing starter Kevin McCullar, who is in the NBA Draft process. If he comes back, they won’t have a need for Hart. And besides, with Timberlake on board, the team can focus on their reported top target, Michigan transfer Hunter Dickinson. It makes sense for both sides that they each look elsewhere.

3. Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bulldogs’ roster has been working in overdrive but did land one commit in Steele Venters. The 6’7 small forward averaged 15.0 ppg this past season at Eastern Washington and was the Big Sky Player of the Year this past season. He and Hart are on similar levels so it’s hard to see why the former Maryland guard travel to Spokane to be a potential 6th Man.

He could play at the two-spot but reportedly, Gonzaga is also looking for another ball-handler to pair with Nolan Hickman in the backcourt. If they land Creighton transfer Ryan Nembhard, that’ll take Hart out of the picture for them and even now, it’s not a great fit at the moment.
