Kansas Jayhawks

It’s been a good week for the Jayhawks in the transfer portal so far. They landed Towson transfer Nick Timberlake, a 6’4 shooting guard that averaged 17.7 ppg this past season. He fills a clear need in the backcourt when it comes to scoring but they still need more offensive production in the lineup to offset the losses of Gradey Dick and Big 12 Player of the Year Jalen Wilson.

Kansas does have some frontcourt talent on the roster but outside of KJ Adams, none of them are much of an offensive threat. That includes former five-star prospect Ernest Udeh, who played just eight minutes a game as a freshman, and the team probably isn’t ready to give him extended minutes.

Dickinson would be a great upgrade at the five-spot. He’d be the top option on offense and play alongside a quality point guard in Dajuan Harris, who isn’t much of a scorer himself and would get the ball to the big man as much as possible. He’d also play for a program that makes the NCAA Tournament every season and is always a Final Four threat.

There’s little to not like about this option if you’re Dickinson. The only thing is that the face of the Jayhawks won’t be him, it’ll be head coach Bill Self unless they win a championship. Plus, he’d probably have to tone things down a bit off the court if he were to pick Kansas as well.
