16. UNLV Rebels

One of the best transfer groups this past season was Arizona State, thanks to brothers, Desmond and Devan Cambridge. And it looks like UNLV is hoping to repeat that kind of family success with the Boone brothers.

Kalib Boone is the high-profile transfer pickup, coming over from Oklahoma State. The 6’9 forward was an All-Big 12 performer, averaging 10.6 ppg and 4.9 rpg. The senior big man is a quality defender and had 25 points and six rebounds against TCU in one of three 20+ point games.

Kalib’s brother, Keylan Boone, comes over from Pacific after three years prior at OK State. He led the Tigers with 13.9 ppg and 4.2 rpg, shooting 41% from three-point range. Keylan had four games with at least 25 points, including a career-high 30 against San Diego.

The Rebels also added another former Big 12 player in Jalen Hill, who averaged 9.7 ppg and 5.8 rpg at Oklahoma. The 6’7 forward had 26 points and eight rebounds in a game against Alabama and adds to what’s now a loaded frontcourt in the Mountain West next season. If they can land a guard, they’ll be a dangerous team in the league to deal with.
