After making the Final Four for the first time in program history, you’d think that the program has all the momentum in NCAA Basketball. Yet they haven’t added any transfers, just class of 2023 international guard commit, Kyshawn George. The team recently lost the recruiting battle of wing Mustapha Amzil, who opted to commit to New Mexico instead.

Five players have left the team this offseason, including most notably, ACC Player of the Year and leading scorer, Isaiah Wong. A few have transferred out, including forward Anthony Walker and guard Harlond Beverly. In this situation, the most important departure was Jordan Miller, a 6’5 combo forward that was an All-ACC starter this past season.

Miami returns three starters, led by guard Nijel Pack and big man Norchad Omier, who averaged a double-double this past season. Wooga Poplar is also coming back after a solid year and with Wong gone, could easily move to the two-spot in the rotation and make room for Cleveland.

If the former Seminole had a preference on his primary position in the lineup, the Hurricanes could allow Cleveland to play at either the 3 or 4-spot. Seeing how good a year Miller just had, it could be a very appealing scenario.
