8. El Ellis – Louisville to Arkansas

2022-23 season stats: 17.7 ppg and 4.4 apg

Although the Louisville team was awful, Ellis was good enough to lead them to some wins and be competitive last season. The 6’3 guard had 13 games of at least 20 points, including several huge outings. One includes the season-high 33 points on 12/20 shooting against Miami, along with 30 points and 10 assists versus Western Kentucky. He’s one of several newcomers to join Arkansas this offseason and was the highest scorer among them. Ellis won’t have the same giant usage rate but proved he can take over a game at any time.

7. Chris Ledlum – Harvard to Tennessee

2022-23 season stats: 18.8 ppg and 8.5 rpg

Ledlum has been one of the top players in the League in the past two years, ranking 1st in rebounding and second in scoring. The 6’6 forward went for 35 points and 13 rebounds against Cornell, along with 27 points and 15 rebounds versus Maine. Ledlum is an outstanding offensive weapon and will replace Olivier Nkamhoua in the frontcourt for the Vols. If his versatility translates, Tennessee could have a gem in this transfer.

6. Dalton Knecht – Northern Colorado to Tennessee

2022-23 season stats: 20.2 ppg and 7.2 rpg

The 6’6 guard was a breakout star in the Big Sky, leading the entire league in scoring this past season. Knecht shot 38% from three-point range and used his size to be a good rebounder, including five double-doubles. He had a 34-point game against Idaho and went 6/13 from deep in a 31-point effort against Portland State. He’s another offensive weapon coming to the Vols and pairing him with Santiago Vescovi in the backcourt will be a nightmare for opposing SEC teams.
