29. Kalib Boone – Oklahoma State to UNLV

2022-23 season stats: 10.6 ppg and 4.9 rpg

The 6’9 forward was an All-Big 12 performer in the frontcourt at OK State, scoring in double figures for 17 of 36 games. That includes 27 points and nine rebounds versus Kansas and 16 points and 10 rebounds against Texas in league play. Kalib joins his brother Keylan to the Rebels in a new-look frontcourt that instantly becomes one of the best in the Mountain West.

28. Daeshun Ruffin – Ole Miss to Jackson State

2022-23 season stats: 9.5 ppg and 3.2 apg

It’s been a rough two years for the former top-50 prospect, as a serious leg injury a year ago limited Ruffin to just 11 games. When healthy, the 5’9 guard is a quality scorer and capable passer, including 18 points and seven assists against Missouri in his last game of the season. Ruffin heads down to the SWAC and Jackson State, where he instantly becomes one of the top players in the league the next year.

27. Jace Carter – Illinois-Chicago to Texas A&M

2022-23 season stats: 16.6 ppg and 7.0 rpg

While the team couldn’t handle going from the Horizon League to the Missouri Valley, Carter ended up doubling his production to being an all-league performer. And despite being 6’5, the guard/wing ended up being one of the top rebounders as well. Carter had eight games of at least 20 points, including 28 points and seven rebounds versus Stonehill and 25 and 10 versus Bradley. He’s a good fit with the Aggies and adds another scorer alongside Wade Taylor in the backcourt.
