2. Bronny James – No. 36

The one guy that’s been a free agent this entire time is James, who recently participated in the McDonald’s High School All-American game. But his senior season at Sierra Canyon showed that he has legit starpower as a player, regardless of who his father is.

James is a 6’3 combo guard that can play both on and off the ball effectively. He’s a good decision-maker and skilled as well, along with displaying a quality defensive game on the perimeter. His recruitment has been extremely quiet, without any lists coming out in the past year.

However, teams that have consistently been reported to be involved include hometown USC, Oregon and the Nike connection, and Ohio State, close to LeBron’s hometown of Akron. If there were bets to be made, the Trojans are a rumored favorite at this point.

James wouldn’t even be the highest-profiled freshman on the roster if that were to occur since he’d be playing alongside No. 1 overall NCAA Basketball prospect, Isaiah Collier. That would be an elite backcourt to watch out on the west coast but no matter what, his eventual commitment will make national headlines.
