The NCAA Basketball transfer portal has seen a ton of quality point guards enter. And many of them have chosen new homes. Guys such as Ryan Nembhard (Gonzaga), LJ Cryer (Houston), Dayvion McKnight (Xavier), and Jameer Nelson Jr. (TCU) have picked new landing spots. Now, a new ball-handler has entered the fray in Rayj Dennis, a four-year transfer from Toledo.

Dennis becomes another former Conference Player of the Year player to enter the portal after winning it from the MAC. The 6’2 ball-handler is originally from Boise State, where he started 40 games and averaged 6.4 ppg on inefficient numbers for two seasons. He went to Toledo, where after a solid junior campaign, Dennis exploded for a huge senior season.

The guard led the Rockets with 19.6 ppg and 5.8 apg, shooting 49% from the field and 37% from three-point range. He was in double figures in every single game, including 32 points on 12/20 shooting from the field at Ball State. Dennis also had plenty of big passing games, including 17 points and 12 assists versus Oakland.

Dennis was a consistently elite offensive player and now that he’s entered the portal, becomes instantly one of the top available players. He has one year of eligibility left and the Oswego, Illinois native will have plenty of suitors.

Even after this past month since the transfer portal opened, there are still plenty of NCAA Basketball teams that can still use Dennis. Here’s a look at a whopping 14 programs that could use his services.
