Baylor Bears
Assuming that 4th-year senior Adam Flagler remains in the NBA Draft process and doesn’t come back, that means all three lead guards are gone for Baylor, as LJ Cryer and Keyonte George are officially gone. To this point, the team has landed just Jayden Nunn, a 6’4 shooting guard from VCU. He’s a solid transfer pickup but isn’t anywhere near the scorer that the three starters were from this past season.
That puts a lot of pressure on the two incoming guards, top-30 ball-handler Miro Little and five-star shooting guard, JaKobe Walter. This is a program that needs at least one more veteran guard to feel comfortable and Dennis would fill multiple areas, including scoring in case Nunn struggles at the Big 12 level.
Georgetown
After hiring head coach Ed Cooley, there was a ton of hype to start the offseason. The program landed three transfers but none of them are very proven at the NCAA Basketball level. That includes freshman guard Jayden Epps and Texas redshirt transfer, Rowan Brumbaugh.
While they’re waiting on what Michigan big man Hunter Dickinson decides to do, Georgetown needs to find a couple more players, including a steady ball-handler to run the offense. If they can find a way to land Dennis, maybe that makes them more appealing to a Dickinson later on.
