Aneesah Morrow transfer option – LSU Tigers

A year ago, the biggest transfer in women’s NCAA Basketball was Angel Reese going from Maryland to LSU. It worked out perfectly for the forward, leading the team with 23.0 ppg and 15.4 rpg en route to the Tigers going 34-2 and winning the national title. The spotlight for Reese and her teammates is exactly what Morrow would want and a frontcourt between these two would grab all of the possible rebounds.

And playing for head coach Kim Mulkey is something that would help Morrow as a prospect. She’s a definite WNBA prospect in a couple of years but can always continue to develop. Doing that on a national title contender has no drawbacks.

What’s interesting is that the SEC program is also in the mix for another top-tier transfer in Hailey Van Lith, a 5’7 guard coming off averaged 19.7 ppg and 3.2 apg at Louisville. Adding both Van Lith and Morrow would instantly make the Tigers not only the preseason favorite in the sport but also a threat to go unbeaten throughout the year.

The only concern on that end is that in that scenario, Morrow could fly under the radar as the third option. It certainly wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if LSU is winning but the other two options could have the former DePaul forward be the focal point, while also still contending.
