Will DePaul transfer Aneesah Morrow play for LSU, South Carolina or USC?
Aneesah Morrow transfer option – USC Trojans
For the past decade, USC has been a middle-of-the-road program in the Pac-12. But in head coach Lindsay Gottlieb’s second season, the Trojans had a breakthrough campaign, going 21-10 and making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.
They do lose their two leading scorers from this past season, including Destiny Littleton (14.0 pg) and forward Kadi Sissoko, who led the team with 15.4 ppg and 6.2 rpg. The good news for them is that they return forward Rayah Marshall, who averaged 12.7 ppg and 11.5 rpg. Having Marshall and Morrow in the frontcourt together would be lethal in the Pac-12.
The backcourt could be even better next season too. USC adds Penn transfer Kayla Padilla (17.7 ppg and 3.5 apg) and Havard transfer McKenzie Forbes (13.7 ppg). Plus, they have former top-10 prospect Aaliyah Gayles, along with Juju Watkins, an elite wing and the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2023 recruiting class.
Having Watkins and Morrow would make USC the top team out west and an instant contender to win a national title. Plus, it would allow Morrow to be the focal point of the offense and still have the spotlight, while playing in Los Angeles. The program may not have a history of winning titles but having the DePaul transfer would make them a popular team to watch next season.
