10. Joe Girard – Guard

Former Team: Syracuse Orange

The point guard has narrowed his list to two teams, and both are very interesting teams given the strengths and weaknesses of Girard. The guard is one of the most hot and cold players in the entire portal as when he is hot, he has the potential to score 50 but when he is cold, he may not score at all.

The native New Yorker decided to enter the transfer portal after legendary coach Jim Boeheim decided to retire from Basketball. Girard has some interesting choices as his finalists in Clemson and LSU. LSU needs all the help they can get so they won’t care that Girard doesn’t play much defense. Clemson prides itself on defense and his lack of quality defense at times may hinder his minutes for the Tigers.

9. Simas Lukosius – Wing

Former Team: Butler Bulldogs

Butler head coach Thad Matta is flipping over the roster, and no one is safe. Lukosius was due for a huge season in the Big East, but he is on to another school to prove that last season’s improvements were not a fluke. Lukosius is one of the best shooters in the country and is instantly going to provide value to his new team. He is a reliable shooter and defender. He will provide some rebounding and is a good enough passer to keep the defense honest.

He is more than three-point shooter as he does have a lot of game other than shooting. The wing has been hearing from BYU, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State. All three of those teams value shooters and he will get a lot of playing time at any of those schools if he makes his threes.

8. David Jones – Forward

Former Team: St John’s Red Storm

Jones was one of the four Red Storm starters who entered the transfer portal and one of the only two who have yet to commit. Jones only spent one season in Jamaica, NY as a member of St. John’s. He was not one of the players who fit into the plans of new head coach Rick Pitino. Jones is a unique transfer because he is a true stretch 4 and the best stretch four of the remaining transfers. The forward transferred to St. John’s from DePaul where he was a double-double machine, and he was still able to show that rebounding prowess for the Red Storm.

There have been times throughout his career when he lacked consistency and may not always play as hard as he should. If he can find the right coach to unlock his full potential Jones is an NBA player. It has been quiet regarding his transfer for this season. This being the second transfer for Jones he will likely have to sit out.
