4. Jaylon Tyson – Guard

Former Team: Texas Tech Red Raiders

Yet another young guard from Texas Tech enters the transfer portal. Tyson is a program changer and has conference player of the year written all over him and for some reason, he was never utilized properly at Texas Tech. Last season he played all 31 games and averaged about 30 minutes per night. He shot 50 from the field and 40% from deep and yet still averaged under 10 shots per game.

Tyson is ready to take off and his next team is going to make him the focal point of the offense. He is one of the more talented players in the portal and will be the prize of the recruiting class for his next team. This is the second transfer for Tyson as he started his career at Texas. It is his third school in 3 years and he will need a waiver to be eligible immediately. Kansas, Alabama, and Auburn are the teams who have been in contact with the guard.

3. Arterio Morris – Guard

Former Team: Texas Longhorns

Morris played every game for Texas but decided to enter the transfer portal given what Texas has coming back and the head coach he signed up to play for is no longer there. Morris has some other things going against him as well as he is facing an assault charge that has yet to come to a resolution. The charge has not scared off anyone, his list of suitors was long, and he is going to go to a blue blood program and step right in and start.

Morris is talented but last season as a true freshman Texas let him get his feet wet. The guard didn’t need to score a lot of accrue many counting stats as Texas already had all of that. The guard was a top 20 high school recruit and is going to do more than live up to that hype when given a big share of the offense. The guard will likely wind up at Kansas.
