6. Charles Pride – Bryant Bulldogs

2022-23 season stats: 14.6 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.4 apg

Recruiting battle: St. Bonaventure vs Loyola Chicago vs Minnesota vs Providence

At the NEC level a year prior, Pride averaged 17.7 ppg and 8.6 rpg. On a better team in a better conference, the senior guard still managed to produce good numbers for Bryant. He went for 28 points a couple of times this past season, along with a 44-point effort against Saint Francis (PA).

The word to describe Pride’s recruitment is “sudden”. There haven’t been updates outside of news of him visiting a few programs. The most notable were the Atlantic 10 programs, Loyola and St. Bonaventure. The Ramblers finished dead last in its first season in the A-10, while the Bonnies are bringing back most of its key pieces and hoping for a massive boost with a starting-caliber player.

The two power conference options are different for Pride. He wouldn’t start with the Friars but would be part of the rotation and would be another massive pickup for new head coach Kim English. He could start on the Gophers and be a focal point of the offense but it wouldn’t be on a winning team.

Pride is an underrated transfer that’s available and the other A-10 programs would love for him not to end up there. Providence is the team to watch because they could really make national noise with this one.
