6. Alabama Crimson Tide

It’s been a rough past week for the Tide. They were forced to part ways with Wichita State transfer Jaykwon Walton, a commit to the program that was arrested for a drug charge in Alabama. It was a reminder of the Brandon Miller saga that plagued them last season.

If there’s a bright side, it opens up another scholarship for the Crimson Tide to use to fill a potential need. And it’s not at guard, as they landed CAA Player of the Year and Hofstra transfer Aaron Estrada, along with Latrell Wrightsell Jr. It’s the frontcourt that they have to deal with, as they’re without both Noahs (Gurley and Clowney) at the four-spot.

The team is currently set to play freshmen forwards Sam Walters and Mouhamed Dioubate but neither are the five-star caliber of a Miller or Holland. After missing out on Wofford transfer BJ Mack, there are not too many options available for the program at that position.

After the massive season that Miller had, Alabama can use that as the ultimate selling point for some like Holland and allow him to have a similar role. It might not work out but in order to prevent a couple of other SEC foes from getting him, Coach Nate Oats has to make a move.
