Syracuse Orange

The Orange had one of the most significant losses this offseason in Jesse Edwards, who averaged a double-double and was near Banaogo’s level as a shot-blocker last season. His leaving provides a massive loss to the team in the frontcourt, with just backup Mounir Hima among the options at center.

Bandaogo would be a perfect option for Syracuse, whether the program continues to use the 2-3 zone defense. New head coach Adrian Autry needs to make a good impression next season and has the guards (Judah Mintz and JJ Starling) to make it work. Now he needs a big man and there’s a good option available in Banaogo.

Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Red Raiders have lost both of its starting big men on the roster, as Fardaws Aimaq and Daniel Batcho have moved on. So automatically, new head coach Grant McCasland will need to find a capable replacement in order to compete in the Big 12.

His style of slow-paced and defense-oriented is perfect for Bandaogo and what he can offer. The fewer possession would also protect him in a way in case he struggles in the Big 12. It may not have worked out with Aimaq here but maybe try No. 2 with a former Utah Valley big man will for Texas Tech.
