7. Posh Alexander – St. John’s to Butler

2022-23 season stats: 10.2 ppg and 4.2 apg

Alexander is a former Big East Co-Defensive Player of the Year and is a three-year starter from St. John’s. He’s a poor shooter, including 25% from three-point range but is a double-digit scorer. More importantly, Alexander is a proven Big East player and while Butler has taken risks with several mid-major pickups, they can trust that this guard can run the offense and make it competent, as long as he doesn’t have to shoot too much.

6. Simas Lukosius – Butler to Cincinnati

2022-23 season stats: 11.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.9 apg

Speaking of Butler, Lukosius was the team’s second-leading scorer after a breakout sophomore campaign. He shot 38% from the field and dropped 28 points against Villanova, along with a pair of 7-assist games during the season. He goes to Cincinnati, a team that turns over its backcourt as it heads to the Big 12. The versatility the 6’6 playmaker adds should help fill some potential holes for the Bearcats.

5. Jamarion Sharp – Western Kentucky to Ole Miss

2022-23 season stats: 7.4 ppg and 7.7 rpg

Sharp is a 7’5 center that led NCAA Basketball in blocked shots in the past two years, including 10 in a triple-double effort as a sophomore. He’s a multiple-time Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and truly the best interior defender in the sport. It’ll be interesting to see how he looks in the SEC but Ole Miss Head Coach Chris Beard is a great defensive mind and should be able to find ways to utilize Sharp to wreak havoc on that end of the court.
