17. Alabama Crimson Tide

Another NCAA Basketball program whose roster has been in flux is Alabama, who 100% was going to lose All-American and SEC Player of the Year Brandon Miller to the NBA Draft. Also going pro is freshman Noah Clowney, along with Noah Gurley (pro) and freshman guard Jaden Bradley (portal).

Another roster departure for the Crimson Tide is Jaykwon Walton, who technically, wasn’t even on the team. He was a transfer commit from Witchita State who the program parted ways with after a recent arrest. There was a chance that he wasn’t going to be eligible so in a way, it’s not a major blow for the program.

Alabama was able to quickly recover, landing two quality guards. Latrell Wrightsell averaged 16.3 ppg and 2.4 apg at Cal State Fullerton, shooting 38% from three-point range. The bigger pickup was Aaron Estrada, who averaged 20.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 4.3 apg at Hofstra and was the CAA Player of the Year. They, along with Mark Sears and Jahvon Quinerly (maybe?) will be one of the top backcourts in the country.

Assuming that starting center Charles Bediako is back from the draft process as well, the frontcourt will be in okay shape. Top-100 forward commits Sam Walters and Mouhamed Dioubate are players that can play from Day 1 and while they won’t have a clear go-to star like Miller, there will be plenty of depth on the roster capable of having big nights.
