15. Baylor Bears

It’s not 100% a guarantee but all expectations are that Baylor won’t have Adam Flagler back for an extra year. That means that all three 15 ppg scoring guards (Keyonte George and LJ Cryer) are gone from this past season, along with starting center, Flo Thamba.

The big hope for the Bears is that they don’t lose anyone else. The lone double-digit scorer left is forward Jalen Bridges, who averaged 10.3 ppg and 5.6 rpg. He’s in the NBA Draft process and it’s about 60/40 that he comes back. Caleb Lohner is returning for a senior year, along with guard Langston Love to get a larger role.

The team is hoping for a breakout year also from Jayden Nunn, a 6’4 guard from VCU that averaged 9.4 ppg while shooting 40% from three-point range. He’s a great athlete and capable defender and the Bears are hoping he’s the next perimeter newcomer to become a star.

I have trust in this program that they can replace the backcourt with Nunn, Love, and a pair of top-30 incoming guards, Miro Little, and Ja’Kobe Walter. Baylor might be a little younger than other teams next season but will remain plenty talented.
