9. Kentucky Wildcats

There are several storylines with the Wildcats that can still emerge but no matter what, expect them to have a top-10 caliber roster. That’s because of the No. 1 overall recruiting class, including 4 five-star prospects. Combo forward Justin Edwards and big man Aaron Bradshaw are consensus top-5 players, while guards Robert Dillingham and DJ Wagner will be a young, yet dynamic backcourt in NCAA Basketball.

That’s where the givens end. There are even more questions left. The team does not that Sahvir Wheeler, CJ Fredrick Daimion Collins, and Jacob Toppin are gone. Kentucky also is waiting on what both Antonio Reeves and Chris Livingston do with the NBA Draft process. Either leaving opens up a spot for someone either in the transfer portal or another freshman, such as former target and Texas commit, Ron Holland.

The biggest question is what happens at center. National Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe is also in the process and it truly feels 50/50 about whether or not he comes back. If he doesn’t, Michigan big man Hunter Dickinson could be Plan B. If that doesn’t work out, Plan C would be 40 minutes combined of Bradshaw and Ugonna Onyenso, who had entered the portal himself before coming back.

The confidence is high that the Wildcats will be a contender once again; we just don’t know exactly how it’ll look.
