Big East Basketball is always around for some exciting basketball, and it also happens to hold the defending champion UConn Huskies.

Marquette took the crown as conference champions though, but was unable to see the same national success as UConn did with Dan Hurley.

The goliaths at the top appear to be holding on to their reigns, and many players are making their return to top Big East programs.

However, a lot can change in just over a month since the Huskies cut down the nets, and this entire conference has seen its fair share of shifts.

Coaching changes such as Ed Cooley to Georgetown and Rick Pitino to St. Johns have shaken up this conference quite a bit also. You also have the second year of Shaheen Holloway at Seton Hall, a new era for Providence, and the expected continued dominance of programs like Marquette, Creighton, and Xavier.

The volatility of this conference makes it beyond difficult to predict every year, but shape-ups in the transfer portal are beginning to show just what some of these teams may look like in the 2023-2024 season.

While more will change in the coming month, some things will stay the same, but this conference will not look like it did this past year.

Some teams will begin to bounce back as programs, and some may be seeing a rebuilding era in the future.

Will UConn stay near the top? Have some teams fallen from grace? Changes are happening in arguably the best conference in college basketball.
