5. Villanova Wildcats

The Villanova Wildcats had a huge question mark heading into their offseason, how can they keep Justin Moore?

Well, Villanova does what Villanova does and they were able to keep their star that is looking to get even better than he already was last season.

The departures of Cam Whitmore, Brandon Slater, and Caleb Daniels are big for this team, but their younger players who got some time last year should step up, and they made a couple of good pickups in this year’s portal.

Hakim Hart from Maryland should look to help fill the hole left by a guy like Daniels with a 6’7, 205 build who can make an impact immediately.

TJ Bamba also comes in from Washington State to bring some experience and solid scoring to this squad.

Kyle Neptune may need to pick up another player in this portal to solidify themselves as a top-five team in this conference, and it will be tough for them to make that jump to this spot after last season.

Even without Jay Wright, this is still a program that is bound to make its resurgence to the top of the standings in this conference, and that may be happening sooner rather than later.
