The 2023 NCAA Basketball recruiting class was quiet during the regular season since 98% of the top 150 prospects had already committed to a program. We were essentially waiting on top-40 prospect, Bronny James, to make a decision.

But since the start of the offseason, the number of players that de-committed for a variety of reasons. The biggest one is that there was a coaching change but unexpected roster decisions from others have also come into play.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I did an article on the top available class of 2023 recruits. However, there’s already been some big changes since that occurred. Another five-star prospect has become available, along with a couple of others.

But there are a few that have committed to programs since. Top-100 shooting guard Blue Cain is staying in the state of Georgia but is going to Georgia Tech instead of the Georgia Bulldogs. Four-star forward Carey Booth is following Coach Micah Shrewsberry from Penn State to Notre Dame. And former Fighting Irish commit Brady Dunlap is now playing for Rick Pitino and St. John’s.

Another one is Jayden Curry, a top-150 point guard that’s going to be playing for Coach Frank Martin and the UMass Minutemen. And to round it all off, Bronny James committed to USC late Saturday night, taking another key prospect off the board.

There are still nine prospects that are either four or five-star caliber available for teams in the 2023 recruiting class left available. Here’s a ranking of who is left around, as well as some insight as to who is reportedly in the running for their respective services.
