9. Babacar Mbengue

The 7’0 center had been a longtime commit for the DePaul Blue Demons and was looking to be the replacement for DaSean Nelson at the five-spot. He’s since de-committed and become another big man available. Previous teams that were in the running for Mbengue last time included Ole Miss, Utah, and Kansas State and each of them could still use him. Expect them to try again in May for a backup big role.

8. Darius Carr

Carr was a former New Mexico State commit but as anyone who understands NCAA Basketball knows, he had to de-commit from there. His recruitment has been quiet ever since outside of Louisville reaching out. Carr has shown that he’s willing to play at the mid-major level so a smaller program could potentially get a steal with him this offseason.

7. Jazz Gardner

Another four-star center prospect, Gardner at least has updated his recruitment to four teams. It’s a unique bunch as it’s San Francisco and Nevada from out west vs power conference teams, Florida State and Ole Miss. One of them will get a 7’0 defensive anchor in the next couple of weeks.
