14. Notre Dame Fighting Irish – Grade: C-

The strength of this grade comes with the hire of Micah Shrewsberry, which was one of the best in the entire carousel. But there literally hasn’t been much going on with this team, as they have mainly brought over a few Penn State players and former commits. Four-star prospect Carey Booth and freshman transfer Kebba Njie are a promising frontcourt duo going forward.

But while it’s hard to recruit at Notre Dame, they’re going to have to do better than Julian Roper, who wasn’t even a top-3 guard at Northwestern. There are still plenty of holes to deal with on the roster and not too many starters left so it’s something to monitor to see how competitive they’ll be in Year 1.

13. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Grade: B+

In just one month on the job, new head coach Damon Stoudamire has shown a bigger emphasis on the transfer portal than Josh Pastner ever did at GT. Not only was he able to keep the team’s two best players from last season (Miles Kelly and Dallan Coleman), the new coach landed six newcomers as well.

A few of them have long-term promise, including Kowacie Reeves (Florida), Amaree Abram (Ole Miss), and Tafara Gapare (UMass), all of whom with three years of eligibility. If forward Tyzhaun Claude can have an impact inside, this team could be a surprise threat in the ACC next season.
