7. RJ Luis – UMass to St. John’s

2022-23 season stats: 11.5 ppg and 4.6 rpg

Luis is a 6’7 wing that had a nice final stretch of the season at UMass with extended minutes. He had 31 points against Duquesne and had 21 points and nine rebounds versus Dayton. The freshman wing joins a rebuild program in St. John’s and Coach Rick Pitino and has some of the most promise among all the newcomers and could be a breakout star in the Big East.

6. Tre White – USC to Louisville

2022-23 season stats: 9.0 ppg and 5.1 rpg

White was an impact freshman for the Trojans, starting 29 games at 27 mpg and shooting 47% from the field. His offense was inconsistent but the 6’7 guard/wing did have a few big outings, including 22 points against Washington. He joins a Louisville roster in need of a full overhaul and is talented enough to get a starting position for them. With three years left, White will be a nice building block for the program.

5. Joe Girard – Syracuse to Clemson

2022-23 season stats: 16.4 ppg and 3.0 apg

The leading scorer for the Orange has shot 39% from three-point range in the past two years and was able to make a lot of tough shots at a high clip. Girard had 10 games of at least 20 points this past season, including 31 against Richmond. He stays in the ACC and joins Clemson, replacing Brevin Galloway in the backcourt. With Chase Hunter and PJ Hall back, the Tigers will have one of the best offenses in the league next season.
