NCAA Basketball: Joe Girard, Hunter Dickinson among week’s top 25 transfer pickups
4. Jaden Bradley – Alabama to Arizona
2022-23 season stats: 6.4 ppg, 2.6 rpg, and 3.1 apg
Bradley is a former five-star prospect who despite a crowded backcourt at Alabama, still managed to carve out a starting role. He started 22 games at 20 mpg, shooting 39% from the field and a solid assist-to-turnover ratio. Bradley had three 7-assist games, along with a season-high 18 points against Gonzaga.
Bradley is Plan B for Arizona, who missed out on Creighton transfer Ryan Nembhard. He’s the replacement for Kerr Kriisa in the backcourt and will be paired with former top-40 recruit Bylan Boswell next season. Both will be true sophomores and can be breakout candidates to watch but we’ll see how they play together on the court next year.
3. Matthew Cleveland – Florida State to Miami
2022-23 season stats: 13.8 ppg and 7.4 rpg
Cleveland played Miami twice this past season, averaging 15 ppg and splitting the series. One of them came in a 20-point effort, leading the largest comeback in ACC history in the brightspot of the year for the Seminoles. Cleveland joins them as the replacement for star forward Jordan Miller and likely will play at the four-spot next to Norchad Omier.
As a former five-star prospect, Cleveland massively improved his shooting ability and at 6’7, showed that he can play multiple positions. Miami is hoping he can be a more efficient scorer overall but it’s a massive pickup within the ACC for them.
