Penn State Nittany Lions

New head coach Mike Rhoades has with him one of the top point guards in NCAA Basketball in A-10 Player of the Year and VCU transfer Ace Baldwin on the roster. They also have Georgetown transfer Qudus Wahab at the five-spot. In between are a ton of wings, including recent Lafayette transfer, Leon O’Boyle.

The team doesn’t have a true shooting guard and that’s where Taylor could come in. He’d be a perfect fit next to the elite defender Baldwin and Coach Rhoades can have a quality ball-handler in a Big Ten that plays a ton of 2-PG lineups. If this hypothetical fit would occur, Penn State would have one of the best in the league.

Xavier Musketeers

Taylor is a former Conference USA Player and Coach Sean Miller sure loves that league if you look at the roster. After the successful transfer of former UTEP guard and leading scorer Souley Boum, Xavier has added three players from that league. Two of them are in the backcourt in former WKY point guard Dayvion McKnight and Rice guard Quincy Olivari.

The Musketeers could still use another ball-handler to join McKnight and Olivari can slide over to the open three-spot if Taylor were to join. It would be an explosive lineup in the Big East and with 15 ppg forward Zach Freemantle back to balance out the offense, this would be the kind of addition to make Xavier a national contender. And unlike Louisville, it would be a close-to-home option that’s good enough to make and advance in the NCAA Tournament.
