Arkansas Razorbacks

It’s been a record two weeks since Arkansas landed a transfer so you know the staff was itching to be in the mix for someone. They lost Makhel Mitchell in the frontcourt but his brother Makhi is still around for now. If he were to depart for any reason, they’ll lack depth at the center position.

They do have Trevon Brazile set to return but he came off the bench and five-star frontcourt commit Baye Fall may be too raw for big minutes. Washington can be plugged in at the starting center position and play just fine in the SEC on both ends and wouldn’t even need a large role in the offense either.

Memphis Tigers

The Tigers are in definite need of a center now that they’re without forward Deandre Williams. Malcolm Dandridge is the only other true center currently on the roster but it’s not clear if he’ll be back for an extra year. The team did add Temple transfer Nick Jourdain but he’s more of a power forward than a center.

Washington would be a nice pickup for Memphis at the five-spot and the difference between this spot and say, Arkansas, is that he’d have a large role on offense. The Tigers are a team that’s changed most of its roster and there are some scoring questions among those projected to be there. The former Sun Devil could put up some numbers at the AAC level and be one of the top-scoring options on offense too.
