TCU Horned Frogs
After losing starting center Eddie Lampkin early on to the portal, TCU landed Essam Mostafa, who averaged 12.4 ppg and 10.0 rpg last season at Coastal Carolina. The double-double machine is a physical player and solid defender at the Sun Belt level but he might not be a great offensive option moving up.
That would be where Washington comes in, as he’d be a nice offensive weapon to balance out the roster. They’ve brought in two other mid-major transfers on the perimeter (Jameer Nelson Jr. and Trey Tennyson) so having a proven veteran that the Frogs know can play in the Big 12 would be important. But does Mostafa’s addition make it harder for TCU to land another starting-caliber center?
Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Red Raiders are a team that desperately needs a center, considering that both Daniel Batcho and Fardaws Aimaq have already left and found new programs. So Texas Tech and its brand-new coaching staff need to find a starter to help get them competitive in the Big 12 next season.

Of the six reported options, Oklahoma State, Memphis, and Texas Tech are teams that would 100% start Warren Washington next season. The other three could too but there’s actual competition that could make the former ASU center work for his minutes. New Coach Grant McCasland has added a couple of transfers so far but Washington would be the biggest get for them yet.
