Alabama Crimson Tide
Admittedly, there’s been a lot of off-the-court drama for Alabama and the sports department as a whole down there. But on the court, this has been one of the best NCAA Basketball programs of the past few years under head coach Nate Oats. They’ve certainly been one of the best offenses which many guards have benefitted from.
The transfer of Jaden Bradley has easily opened up the path for future playing time for Fland. Hofstra transfer Aaron Estrada is only around for one more year, as well as Jahvon Quinerly if he comes back for his covid year. Plus, both Mark Sears and Cal State Fullerton transfer Latrell Wrightsell are entering their 4th years as well. So no matter what happens, Fland would instantly slide in as both a starter and a potential focal point of the backcourt.
Duke Blue Devils
Whether it’s with Coach K or now Jon Scheyer, Duke will always have a loaded recruiting class each year. The 2024 class is already loading up, landing four-star shooting guard Darren Harris and five-star wing commit, Isaiah Evans. If they offer Fland, he could be their preferred top guard in the class.
There will be some completion if the five-star guard picks Duke. Even if Jeremy Roach is gone and Tyrese Proctor has his breakout campaign and leaves after next season, there are two incoming five-star ball-handlers that’ll be looking for bigger roles as sophomores in Caleb Foster and Jared McClain. We’ll see how this relationship progresses in the coming months but as the article says, look out for the Blue Devil if they get serious with Fland.
