Wednesday afternoon saw Creighton forward Arthur Kaluma announce his intention to enter the Transfer Portal. Kaluma is currently prioritizing the NBA Draft with the Combine coming up, but will transfer away from the Bluejays if he returns to NCAA basketball. He would be a junior next season and has been an important piece at Creighton the last two years.

A 6’7 wing from Boston, Kaluma was a Top 50 prospect in the class of 2021 and was monumental for the Bluejays these last two seasons. He hit just under 55% of his field goals as a freshman, earning All-Freshman honors in the Big East. This past season, Kaluma averaged 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and was one of Creighton’s five vital starters, keying their run to the Elite Eight.

Kaluma’s outside shooting numbers aren’t impressive but he’s a talented rebounder and an important part of that postseason success for the Bluejays this past season. This Creighton roster is already undergoing significant changes for next season and losing Kaluma will mark another stark difference. The Bluejays will have different plans in the frontcourt next season, while Kaluma will hope to bring his talent somewhere else.

There are still parts of Kaluma’s game that he can work on, especially as he continues to develop his shooting touch. That being said, he’s a powerful athlete who does work on both ends on the boards and could be an intriguing prospect in the NBA soon. If he withdraws from the NBA Draft process, there are a number of teams who could use a weapon like him for next season. Today, we’ll look at ten such potential landing spots, diving into each school strictly in alphabetical order.
