2. Tyrin Lawrence – Vanderbilt Commodores

2022-23 season stats: 13.1 ppg and 4.4 rpg

As a full-time starter, Lawrence was a breakout performer for the Commodores, second on the team in scoring. He was fairly efficient from the field, making 50% overall and 36% from three-point range. The 6’4 guard had six games of at least 20 points, including 25 points against Yale in the NIT, as well as 22 points on 9/11 free throw shooting versus LSU.

Lawrence is currently in the NBA Draft process and could go pro but will be a highly sought-after player if he stays in NCAA Basketball. He’s a proven double-digit scorer in the SEC and averaged around 20 ppg in the final eight games of the season.

1. Arthur Kaluma – Creighton Bluejays

2022-23 season stats: 11.8 ppg and 6.0 rpg

Another pro prospect to watch is Kaluma, who has started 67 games in the past two seasons. He’s an athletic 6’7 forward that has had some big games, including 27 points versus BYU and 14 points and 16 rebounds versus UConn. He was effective in the team’s NCAA Tournament run as well, including 10 points, nine rebounds, and four assists against NC State.

If Kaluma does come back from the NBA Draft process, he’s someone that could explode statistically at a new team. At Creighton, he was the 3rd or 4th option on offense and is more than capable of being a 1 somewhere else. He’s already a double-digit scorer but has the potential of being an All-American at the right spot.
