Oklahoma State Cowboys – Grade: C-

The Cowboys have had a lot of player departures this offseason, including three of their best players, Kalib Boone, Avery Anderson, and Moussa Cisse. Leading scorer Bryce Thompson is back and the team has landed a couple of transfers, including Jarius Hicklen and Javon Small.

They also have Jacksonville transfer Mike Marsh coming at the center positon but he’s more of a depth piece than a quality starter, though he could surprise folks. So unless incoming four-star freshman forward Eric Dailey can have a big first season, OK State could be in real trouble in the frontcourt.

TCU Horned Frogs – Grade: B+

The Frogs knew that they were going to lose a lot of talent this offseason, including star guard Mike Miles. But to the program’s credit, they were able to land four good transfers, including three in the backcourt. Former OK State guard Avery Anderson is a proven Big 12 Basketball started, while Jameer Nelson averaged over 20 ppg at Delaware this past season.

Trey Tennyson was a quality scorer at Texas A&M-Corpus Christie and adds to the backcourt depth, while Essam Mostafa averaged a double-double this past season back at Coastal Carolina. There’s still a need for a little frontcourt help alongside Mostafa but outside of that, things have gone as well as possible for TCU.
