Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines haven’t had a great offseason in the frontcourt, losing both starting center Hunter Dickinson and top-100 incoming freshman big, Papa Kante. That leaves them with just rising sophomore Tarris Reed Jr. The good news is that they have landed a couple of class of 2024 guards, including recent pickup, Durral Brooks.

The frontcourt is a massive need for the team, as they have to get a big man. There’s plenty of opportunity for Bol at Michigan but it’s not a 100% guarantee that Coach Juwan Howard is long for the job if they miss the NCAA Tournament once again, or if he looks at the NBA again. That’s something behind the scenes to watch.

Missouri Tigers

It’s been a rough offseason for the program when it comes to landing a center, missing out on a few targets in the portal. But while it’ll affect them negatively for the upcoming season, it could help Missouri for the 2024 recruiting class.

Their current projected starter is 6’8 senior forward Noah Carter, who has one more season left of eligibility. Bol could easily be the starting big man as soon as his freshman season and no matter what, getting plenty of playing time. And he’d fit well in the fast-paced style Coach Dennis Gates runs and provide them with a needed interior presence for the future.
