The NCAA Basketball transfer portal closed for non-grad transfers on Thursday, meaning that going forward, there will be more than leaves than enters.  But there are still some big names left in the portal that hasn’t made a decision, though 20+ have this past week.

Here’s a look at the top players that committed this past week, including a few that averaged around 20 ppg this past season.

Honorable Mention: Kyron Gibson – UT-Arlington to Drake

In his first season as a D-I player, the 6’1 guard led the Mavericks with 11.2 ppg and 3.9 apg, shooting 36% from three-point range. Gibson had a 12-assist game against UTRGV, as well as 22 points versus Cal Baptist. He’s another backcourt addition to Drake, who lost several guards this offseason.

HM: Steve Settle III – Howard to Temple

The 6’10 forward averaged 11.1 ppg and 5.7 rpg this past season but actually produced more in the year prior. Settle, a two-time All-MEAC performer, had a few double-doubles, including 17 points and 10 rebounds against Austin Peay. He joins a revamped Temple frontcourt and should be a solid replacement for Nick Jordain.

HM: Antavion Collum – Cal State Bakersfield to McNeese State

The 4th-year senior had his breakout campaign for the Roadrunners, leading them in scoring at 13.0 ppg and 5.1 rpg. The 6’7 forward had eight games of at least 20 points, including a career-high 31 points against UC Riverside. Collum is yet another addition to Coach Will Wade’s new roster but is the most accomplished of the group based solely on last season’s production.
