5. Moussa Cisse – Oklahoma State to Ole Miss

2022-23 season stats: 6.8 ppg and 8.0 rpg

A case can be made that Cisse is the top interior defender in the NCAA Basketball transfer portal, earning Big 12 DPOY honors two seasons ago. He can also be a double-double threat, including 14 points and 14 rebounds against UCF. Cisse joins another elite frontcourt defender in Jamarion Sharp at Ole Miss and they’d be 40 nightmarish minutes to deal with in the SEC if the former Cowboy big man can get a waiver to play next season.

4. Jaylon Tyson – Texas Tech to Cal

2022-23 season stats: 10.7 ppg and 6.1 rpg

In his first full year, the 6’7 wing shot 48% from the field and 40% from three-point range with the Raiders. Tyson had a few big games last season, including 19 points and 10 rebounds against Baylor and 27 points versus West Virginia. Assuming he can get a waiver to play in 2022-23, Tyson joins a completed revamped Cal roster, along with another former Texas Tech player, Fardaws Aimaq.

3. Noah Thomasson – Niagara to Georgia

2022-23 season stats: 19.5 ppg and 3.5 apg

The 6’3 guard was one of the top scorers in the MAAC last season, leading Niagara in scoring and nearly making 40% of his three-point attempts. He dropped 29 points against Central Arkansas and produced a career-high 35 points against Canisius. Thomasson becomes the 5th transfer pickup for the Bulldogs, joining Illinois wing RJ Melendez on the perimeter.
