Alabama Crimson Tide forward Brandon Miller Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports /

170. . Forward. Charlotte Hornets. Brandon Miller. 2. player

Miller was easily the best NBA Draft prospect out of college, averaging 18.8 ppg and 8.2 rpg at Alabama, who was No. 1 at times last season. The 6’8 forward shot 38% from three-point range and had a trio of 30+ point games, including a season-high 41 points against South Carolina. Miller has the size, shooting, and measurements to immediately thrive at the NBA level.

Henderson may be the better overall prospect but it doesn’t make sense to pair him with LaMelo Ball, who is already a franchise point guard. They could use more shooting and another wing, as the long-term future of Miles Bridges is unknown after missing all of last season due to off-the-court issues and the team likely won’t want to offer a long-term deal. If Miller is as good as we think he can be, that would make the Hornets’ decision easy at that position.

29. . F/C. San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama. 1. player

There’s nothing else to be said that’s been talked about as a generational prospect. His height as a big man and skills as a guard makes Wembanyama so unique. He’s a quality three-point shooter, can erase everything near the rim, and is such a fluid athlete overall. As long as he’s healthy, look for him to have a major impact in the league.

The last time that San Antonio had the No. 1 overall pick, they took future Hall of Famer, Tim Duncan. After the golden era core left, the franchise suffered through a rebuilding process. Guards Keldon Johnson and Devis Vassell are coming off big years and last year’s lottery pick (Jeremy Sochan) showed promise. Now add Wembanyama to the mix and the Spurs likely won’t be in the NBA Draft lottery for a long time.
