8. Collin Moore – Georgia State Panthers

2022-23 season stats (13 games): 14.2 ppg and 4.3 rpg

He was limited to just 13 games last season but Moore was in the midst of a breakout campaign after two years with a limited role off the bench. The 6’3 guard shot 48% from the field and 36% from three-point range, along with being a good defender, averaging more than two steals a game as well.

Moore had 28 points against Marshall, along with 25 versus Texas State in the Sun Belt Tournament. He’s a good enough athlete that can play in the Big Ten and right now is reportedly involved with both Duquesne and Grand Canyon. If the Wolverines don’t feel good with the upper-tier options, Moore is someone they can get and give minutes to.

7. D’Marco Dunn – North Carolina Tar Heels

2022-23 season stats: 2.7 ppg and 0.7 rpg

While it didn’t work out with one former Tar Heel, maybe they could try Love’s backup? Dunn is a former top-75 prospect that was limited to 10 mpg off the bench as a sophomore. He didn’t get a lot of opportunities to prove himself but in the game, he had the highest amount on the court (26 minutes), Dunn did go for 14 points and five rebounds on 5/7 shooting against Louisville.

I’m sure that Michigan would rather go for a more sure bet but what if Dunn has his own breakout campaign just like Bufkin did at the two-spot? He’s a power conference talent that just needs a chance to prove it and with not much to lose, the Wolverines could be that spot.
