The move comes as a surprise to many in NCAA Basketball, but Wednesday saw Caleb Love announce that he was de-committing from Michigan. He was originally recruited to North Carolina under Roy Williams and played three years with the Tar Heels before announcing his transfer to Michigan back in April. Now, one of the hottest names of the offseason is back in the Transfer Portal again.

A top 15 recruit in the class of 2020, Love is a 6’4 guard who became an important weapon right from the start for the Tar Heels. As a freshman, he averaged 10.5 points and 3.6 assists per game, already establishing himself as North Carolina’s best backcourt weapon. After Roy Williams’ retirement, he elected to return under Hubert Davis for his sophomore season.

That season turned into quite the event for North Carolina, with Love averaging 15.9 points and helping lead the Tar Heels all the way to the national championship game. While the team was a major disappointment this past season, he did average 16.7 points per game as a junior, though his 3-point and free throw shooting numbers were on the decline.

Love originally committed to Michigan just over a month ago before his commitment was pulled this week due solely to not meeting admissions conditions for the university. As a result, Love is not only on the open market again, but he’s the biggest name out there. He’s a talented shooting guard who can play both backcourt positions and will be a major contributor no matter where he lands.

Today, we’ll be looking at ten potential landing spots for Love, though nearly any school in the nation would be elated to land his services for next season. We proceed through these schools in alphabetical order.
