Missouri

When Love made his initial decision of Michigan, it’s pretty clear that Missouri was one of the finalists that he was considering and they still make a ton of sense for him. The Tigers hemorrhaged a ton of talent from last season’s surprise trip to the NCAA Tournament, though they’ve already added both Caleb Grill and John Tonje from the Transfer Portal.

Love is from St. Louis and returning to Missouri would be quite the homecoming to end his collegiate career. He’d instantly become the best player for the Tigers and would be a major factor in another potential postseason run in Dennis Gates’ second year in Columbia. This program has had a more prominent recruiting presence since Gates arrived last season; landing the star guard from St. Louis would be quite the testament.

Oklahoma

Things look mighty different for Porter Moser in his third season with the Sooners, having struggled a bit in his first two years in Norman. Last year’s top three scorers are all gone, namely Grant Sherfield, Tanner Groves, and Jalen Hill. Oklahoma is leaning heavily on rising sophomore Milos Uzan to be a star. They also added a few transfers, like Le’Tre Darthard from Utah Valley and John Hugley from Pittsburgh.

Adding Love right now would change things considerably at Oklahoma for this upcoming season. First off, the Sooners are replacing a ton of talent from a team that underachieved at times last year. This was an okay shooting team that could take several steps forward if Love has a bounce-back senior season. Even better, Love would be the guy for the Sooners and could form a marvelous 1-2 punch if Uzan does have a breakthrough sophomore season.
