Notre Dame Fighting Irish

In keeping with the Big Ten connections, Coach Micah Shresberry is now the head coach at Notre Dame, coming off a year where he had the best three-point shooting team in all of NCAA Basketball. So imagine what he could do with a guy like Spencer in his new program?

The Fighting Irish needs plenty more talent, as two other former Big Ten players (Julian Roper and Kebba Njie) are the only proven D-I players on the roster. This is a chance for Spencer to be the focal point of a power conference roster and play in a system that would suit him perfectly. They might not win a ton but he could put up the kind of gaudy stats that would get the attention of pro scouts.

UConn Huskies

At the start of the offseason, the Huskies were in the mix for Towson transfer and sharpshooter, Nicolas Timberlake. They missed out on him but could potentially get in the mix for Spencer, who is an even better talent. There’s also an even bigger need for him now, as both Jordan Hawkins, Joey Calcaterra, and Naheim Alleyne are definitely gone, and starting guard Andre Jackson very well may follow them as an NBA Draft prospect.

After winning the national championship, UConn’s profile is as high as well. And with big man Donovan Clingan back and joined by five-star freshman Stephon Castle, the team will be in contention next season. Adding a shooter like Spencer to the starting lineup would make them Final Four contenders once again and allow the transfer to have an opportunity to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
