Atlantic 10 Basketball: Early grades for each teams 2023 offseason moves

4. Saint Louis Billikens – Grade: D+

For the positives, the Bilikens do have leading scorer Gibson Jimerson back for next season. And I do like some of the pickups for them, including Tim Dalger from Tulsa and CJ Noland from Oklahoma. Center Bradley Ezewiro comes from Georgetown and could be the new starter if he gets the waiver.

My issue is that these newcomers aren’t anywhere near enough to replace the other five key scorers on the roster. This is the same team that was able to get Javon Pickett from Missouri last offseason, even if they really didn’t need him. He’d easily be the second-best player on this roster and it’s been a lackluster offseason overall from the coaching staff so far.

3. Fordham Rams – Grade: B+

Fordham was going to lose both Khalid Moore and Darius Quisenberry no matter what but they managed to keep just about the rest of the core that had its breakout past season. They also added two good transfers in UTSA guard Japhet Medor (13.7 ppg and 3.8 apg), along with Lafayette forward, Josh Rivera (10.6 ppg and 5.3 rpg).

These two aren’t projected to be stars but there’s plenty of depth for the Rams. And if returning players Antrell Charlton and Kyle Rose take leaps into becoming leading scorers, they have a real chance for another shot at Atlantic 10 Basketball contention.
