2. Aziz Bandaogo – Utah Valley to Cincinnati

2022-23 season stats: 11.5 ppg and 10.4 rpg

The 7’0 center was a breakout star with the Wolverines, earning WAC Defensive Player of the Year after averaging nearly three blocks a game. He went for 16 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks against New Mexico State, along with 23 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists versus Seattle.

Bandaogo joins another transfer in Jamile Reynolds in the Cincinnati frontcourt but as a two-time transfer, needs to get a waiver to play next season. If that happens, the Bearcats will have some of the top bigs in the Big 12 going forward.

1. Keshad Johnson – San Diego State to Arizona

2022-23 season stats: 7.7 ppg and 5.0 rpg

Speaking of defense, that’s the strength of Johnson, a 6’7 combo forward that was a starter on the national title contender at San Diego State. He went for 16 points and eight rebounds against San Jose State, along with 14 points versus UConn.

Johnson isn’t much of a shooter (26% 3PT last season) but is a great floor runner on the break and can find his way to the basket. Arizona needed a new power forward after losing Azuolas Tubelis and having Johnson and Oumar Ballo give the team one of the best defensive frontcourts in all of NCAA Basketball.
