6. Washington State Cougars – Grade: C-

There have been plenty of both good and bad for Wazzu when it comes to roster transactions. On the positive end, they landed forward Isaac Jones, who averaged 20 ppg at Idaho, along with Kansas guard Joseph Yesufu. However, that doesn’t offset the loss of leading scorer TJ Bamba to Villanova.

And while Jones is a good frontcourt addition, Mouhamed Gueye is officially in the NBA Draft while former top-50 prospect Adrame Diongue has entered the transfer portal. The offseason moves have been enough to likely keep them competitive but it’s another case of one step forward, one step back.

5. Arizona State Sun Devils – Grade: B-

The Sun Devils have landed a whopping six newcomers from the portal, including former LSU guard Adam Miller, along with San Francisco stretch forward, Zane Meeks. It’s a solid group of players and they have starting point guard, Frankie Collins, back for another year.

But did ASU’s roster get better? Losing center Warren Washington and guard DJ Horne were tough losses and Austin Nunez leaving for Ole Miss also stings. There’s going to be plenty of talent on the roster but also plenty of questions to deal with before next season.
