NCAA Basketball: Top 25 NBA Draft decisions left with a week before deadline
25. Kevin McCullar – Kansas Jayhawks
2022-23 season stats: 10.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 2.4 apg
The 6’6 wing was an overall success story, coming over from Texas Tech and making an All-Big 12 team. He may not have greatly improved his overall NBA Draft stock since McCullar shot under 30% from deep. After landing Hunter Dickinson, Kansas is going to be a title contender once again and after missing out on five-star Mackenzie Mgbako, there’s still a need at the wing position if he wanted to return.
24. Armaan Franklin – Virginia Cavaliers
2022-23 season stats: 12.4 ppg and 4.1 rpg
Franklin led the Cavaliers in scoring and when he got 15+ points per game, they were very hard to beat. The team has already lost a ton of talent, including guard Kihei Clark and Jayden Gardner. While St. Thomas guard Andrew Rohde is a solid incoming scoring transfer, Virginia could use a more sure bet next season to lead the offense.
23. Tyler Burton – Richmond Spiders
2022-23 season stats: 19.0 ppg and 7.4 rpg
Burton was one of the top scorers in the Atlantic 10 this past season, including several scoring outputs of at least 25 points. After four years of being the focal point of the Spiders’ offense, the 6’7 wing could be ready to move on. But his decision will singlehandedly determine whether this team is the worst in the conference or not in 2024.
